Share & Care Group, Topic: How to Build Bridges with our Refugee Neighbors of Different Faiths

Guest speaker, Michael Ly, will be sharing his knowledge and experience on how to build bridges with our refugee neighbors of different faiths. Michael is an entrepreneur and relationship builder based in Tempe, AZ.  His parents fled Cambodia in the early 1980s and came to Arizona.  Michael grew up in Tempe and attended Arizona State where he studied business.  He is the Cofounder and Board Member of Peace Catalyst International, a peacemaking organization he helped launch in 2010.  Michael is also CEO of Reconciled, an online bookkeeping & advisory firm for small businesses.  He lives in Tempe with his wife and three children.  Michael has spent his life building bridges and engaging people of all faiths.  He has practiced multi faith engagement in Arizona, Washington and Vermont.

AGENDA:

  • What do we mean and not mean by "building bridges"?

  • How do we cultivate a posture of learning?

  • How do we master the art of asking questions?

  • How do we put this all into practice?

We’ll be meeting at a local church in Gilbert. Sign up here for details!
