Helping Churches Love Their
Refugee Neighbors
Phoenix Refugee Connections equips Christian individuals and churches across the valley
to love their refugee neighbors as themselves by coming alongside others already working in this space.
Start small, stay curious, and discover what God is already stirring in your congregation.
We’re here to support you!
Don’t be afraid to start small—something is better than nothing!
Start by noticing who in your congregation already resonates with God’s heart for the sojourner. Ask the Lord to show you those people. Consider a few simple ways to invite people to learn about their refugee neighbors (below), then pay attention to who keeps showing up.
Notice
Host a guest speaker, read and discuss a book on refugees, or show an award-winning film to promote understanding. We can provide speakers, suggest titles, and even bring the film to you! Want to go deeper? Host a Refugee Ministry 101 workshop: You provide the space and participants; we bring everything else. Ready to get your feet wet? We can suggest suitable one-time service activities through local, trusted partner organizations. We are here to support you every step of the way.
Gather
Meet with the people who keep coming back. Ask what they are thinking, feeling, and hearing from the Lord about their refugee neighbors. Explore how you can pave the way for them to do what the Lord is calling them to do. We’d love to help you with this!

What People are Saying
PRC brought a powerful presentation to our church that both challenged and inspired our people to see the tremendous need—and opportunity—to serve refugees right here in our own community.
Palm West Community Church
PRC has helped me not only understand the needs of my refugee neighbors, but how to get my church involved in a way that is compassionate and intentional. Their resources have catalyzed our congregation into relating to dozens of refugee families throughout the Valley.
